SEDEP is a project implemented with the support of the European Union. Its primary goal is to expand the economic and legal opportunities of vulnerable young women in southern Kyrgyzstan, promote gender equality, and contribute to sustainable development through the growth of the creative economy. The project is implemented through a network of Women's Creative Hubs established across the Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken regions. These hubs provide women with a collaborative space to gain knowledge, develop entrepreneurial skills, engage in production, exchange experience, and work together on new initiatives. SEDEP equips participants with knowledge and practical skills in entrepreneurship, creative industries, sustainable tourism, digital marketing, and leadership. It also provides comprehensive support through mentoring, as well as psychological and legal counselling. In addition, the project strengthens the capacity of civil society organizations and fosters cooperation with local self-government authorities, educational institutions, the private sector, and international partners. The project aims to help women build sustainable livelihoods, create new employment opportunities, promote local production and tourism, and contribute to the sustainable development of communities through the advancement of the green economy and creative industries.

To promote the development of the creative economy as a strategic direction for the development of Kyrgyzstan's regions by bringing together entrepreneurs, artisans, designers, craftspeople and representatives of the tourism sector into a single ecosystem of cooperation and growth. The association was created to develop creative industries and tourism as key areas of sustainable economic growth for the country.

The SEDEP Business Association develops professional communities of creators in Kyrgyzstan, organizes training and mentoring programs, festivals, fairs, internships, and workshops, facilitates knowledge exchange and best practices, assists in finding partners and markets, and supports the digitalization and promotion of creators’ products both nationally and internationally. We act as a bridge between businesses, government institutions, and international partners, fostering a supportive business environment and boosting the competitiveness of our members. We actively collaborate with state bodies, donors, and global partners to represent and advance the interests of the association’s members.
